So Dr Kyle do you know if there's any evidence that practising meditation makes you need less sleep?

good question nightjar, I'm not aware of any strong evidence for this. However, much work is ongoing to look at how meditation can improve poor sleep, mood, stress and anxiety in a range of ilnesses. in normal sleepers that practice meditation, there has been some suggestion that the sleep EEG also changes.

Thanks Dr kyle for your reply. No I found SR ok really. I have a feeling it all may be due to family matters. I'm finding it difficult to do the 'wind down time in the evenings. I'll have a think about doing SR but not going back to the start. Thanks for your suggestions.

Sorry to have missed you all. I was moving electric fencing at the appropriate time. 7 for me is very early to be on the computer when the sun is out and daylight is still with us.
