Thank you, that really helps. By thinking of my dozes as REM or stage 2 sleep, that will really please me. But I promise I'll be honest with myself and recognise when I'm truly awake, getting up after 1/4 hour

i think its important to make time for yourself especially if you are tired. maybe you could get some you time at some point each day just to make you feel more revived.

The best thing is to compartmentalise the two. set the sleep window (think about it as being fixed and therefore no requirment to give it any further thought during the day). The socialising with family and friends can be very rewarding, stimulating your brain, which may then be recuperated with deeper sleep the next night. A similar thing can happend with appropriately scheduled exercise.

Sorry, removed the comment to correct spelling!! I was saying that I suspect I'll never see my two children, in their 20s, as their waking hours will be the same as my bed hours!

hehe… maybe we need to organise a sleepio team to enter into a gentle-ish sporting event then we would get a chance to meet each other whilst committing ourselves to exercise…

A point about the 'overview' page: mine currently says DAYTIME “I want to improve my relationships and concentration” – 0%. I know when I did the last session I answered that I hadn't felt that relationships and concentration had been affected at all, I presume the 0% is 0% change, as I answered the same the previous time. My point is that I can't improve on that, yet get a – mark. It'd be more encouraging if improvement is compared with the original answers, not the most recent ones?

Hi katiev007 – you can look back through all the comments posted on discussions by using the page's navigation links 'Newest', 'Newer', 'Older' & 'Oldest'. You can find these at the top and bottom of discussions which have more than 20 comments.
You can find the first comments posted onto a discussion by hitting the 'Oldest' link and work back to the most recent comments with the 'Newer' link until you reach the 'Newest'.

    I hope that explains it!

    Session 4

Hi Anita9355 – sorry havn't been able to post lately as my computer broke and I've had to go and buy a new one :-(.

I'm an administration manager (full time) and just started a new job – it's very hectic. Things seem to be even worse since my last post because initially I tried to follow a set routine for going to bed and getting up. But…it's Christmas and I think going out late and catching up with friends and family has disrupted any attempts at routine. I have a nice break over Christmas but am staying with family and I don't think they'll appreciate me wandering round the house at all hours! Perhaps I need to postpone this now until I can get back into a normal routine after Christmas. I'm sure I won't be alone with this problem!

The other thing I've noticed is that because I'm always so tired I seem to be susceptible to all the colds and viruses that are going around at the moment – I don't normally have a problem but it's probably got a lot to do with being so tired and down all the time.

On a positive note I have joined a gym and even if I'm really tired I can do a realxing class or go for a swim. This seems to help enormously and I usually feel better and more relaxed afterwards. So I've got Sleepio to thank for that as I wouldn't have done it otherwise.
